  1. I was very excited about the prospect of CogTool-explorer being available in a release version, but it seems it’s been about a year since any new commits to the code of v1.2.2.

Is there any news to share on future development including explorer?

    1. Hi John,
As far as I know, there have never been plans to have CogTool-Explorer be hardened enough to move out of the research version “use at your own risk”. As far as I know there is no one actively working on CogToll-Explorer, but hey, that’s why we put it on GitHub, so someone else could pick it up if they had the inclination, so maybe you know something I don’t know. Did you see something somewhere that said someone was making CogTool-Explorer more hardened than a the product of a PhD thesis?

      1. Hi Bonnie,
I guess it was just my hopeful desire, since it was such a great idea, that it would eventually become more “hardened.” I know that the market for it would be rather small. Our team uses CogTool so frequently, I’m certain we’d be able to pay for it, if someone had the inclination to monetize it (hopefully including “Explorer” functionality).

      2. John,
I would love to see that happen and would help anyone who wanted to monetize it — that’s why we put the code on GitHub. We do not have the resources but didn’t want it to die as only an appendix to a dissertation. So if anyone is listening and is so inclined, contact me and we can talk about this idea.

  2. I want to use the CogTool Explorer , so what I do is :
    download the version 1.3
    install it

And when I try to open it it pops this :

“Could not find the main class. Programm will exit” of “Java Virtual Machine”

If I stop running it as administrator, it just doesn’t open and doesn’t pop up anything.
    What should I do ?

      1. Windows 7 64 bit and 32 but (installed it in 2 PCs) .
I noticed that it pops that error if I have 2 versions ( 1.2.2 and 1.3) installed on same time !
        Otherwise,it just doesn’t open at all !
